Terms of Service

Welcome to Cookedasset. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Cookedasset ("we", "us", or "our") and govern your access to and use of our applications, games, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, launching, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you meet the minimum age required by the Meta Quest platform in your region and you are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of legal majority, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian as required by Meta's parent-managed account flow.

2. Your account

To use the Service, you must have a Meta account in good standing. When you launch our App, we create an in-game account tied to your Meta User ID and username. You are responsible for the security of your Meta account and for all activity that occurs under your in-game account. 3. License to use the Service

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. All other rights are reserved.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized mods, bots, or third-party software that interferes with the Service.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other players.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where the law expressly permits it.
• Sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or in-game items without our written permission.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's servers, networks, or anti-cheat systems.

5. User content

If the Service lets you submit content (usernames where editable in-game, custom builds, chat messages, etc.), you remain the owner of that content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, modify, and display it solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, obscene, or harmful to others.

6. Purchases and virtual items

Any purchases of the App, downloadable content, or in-app items are processed through the Meta Quest Store and governed by Meta's terms. Virtual items (currency, cosmetics, etc.) are licensed to you, not sold; they have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for real currency, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Refunds, where available, are handled by Meta according to its refund policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including all code, art, audio, characters, text, and trademarks, is owned by Cookedasset or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. "Cookedasset" and our logos are our trademarks; you may not use them without our written permission.

8. Third-party platforms

The Service runs on the Meta Quest platform and uses Meta's Platform SDK. Your use of Meta's hardware, store, and services is governed by Meta's own terms and policies, which are between you and Meta. We are not responsible for the Meta platform or its services.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation of your account poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App and requesting account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cookedasset will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cookedasset and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cookedasset is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent changes. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, an in-App notice on next launch). Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
